Applications are invited on prescribed form for the following posts (S.No. 1 to 4) in the prescribed format along with the requisite fee and should reach at the office of the undersigned by not later than 3:30 PM on 12.07.2010.
The candidates for the posts at S.No. 5 to12 can apply on plain paper alongwith passport size photograph, attested/certified copies of their educational qualifications and experience etc. and may appear for walk in interview on 17.06.2010 at 12:30 PM and no separate interview letters will be issued.

DETAILS OF QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND AGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSTS
For S.No. 1.
Specialist Grade-II (TB & Chest Diseases) 1 (One) (ST)
Rs.15600-39100+GPRs.6600/-(Group-A)
Essential : A. Educational : (i) A recognised medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. (Persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section of section 13 of the Act). A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D. in TB and Respiratory Diseases from an Indian University or qualification recognised equivalent thereto. OR Diploma in TB and Chest Diseases. B. Experience: 3 years experience in TB and Chest Diseases in a recognised Institution after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD (TB and Respiratory Diseases). 5 years experience in TB and Chest Diseases in a recognised Institution after obtaining the Diploma
Note I : The Medical qualifications possessed by the candidates should have the recognition of the Medical Council of India.
Note II: Holders of speciality Board of USA qualifications should complete the entire requirements of the Board concerned.
Note III: In so far as post graduate medical qualifications awarded by Indian Universities are concerned, they should also find a place in the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, as amended from time to time.
Age: Upto 45 years (Relaxable for Government servants upto five years in accordance with the instruction or orders issued by the Central Government)

Senior Research Officer (Epidemiology) 1 (One) (UR)

Essential : A. Educational : (i) A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. (Persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Act). The candidate must be registered with the State/Central Medical Council. (ii)M.D. (Preventive Social Medicine/Community Medicine) with three years professional experience after M.D. B. EXPERIENCE: 3 years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D.
Preference will be given to those who have research experience in TB and Respiratory Diseases
Age :- Upto 45 years. (Relaxable for Government Servants upto five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.)

Educational and other qualifications for DIRECT RECRUITMENT:-
Essential : (a) Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as a main/optional subject at the degree level OR Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject with Hindi as the medium of instruction and examination with English as a compulsory subject at degree level Or Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and other as a main subject plus recognized Diploma/Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central/state Government offices, including govt. of India Undertakings
Educational and other qualifications for DEPUTATION:-
Transfer on deputation from amongst Central Government Officers holding:-
(i) analogous posts or
(ii) posts in the pay scale of Rs.4000-6000orRs.3050-4590 (pre-revised) equivalent with 3/5 years regular service in the grade and possessing educational and other qualifications as laid down for Direct Recruitment
Age: not more than 56 years.

Essential : A. Educational & Experience: Qualifications: - a) 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board or Institution/University. b) 2 years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology with one year experience.
Age: upto 25 years. Relaxable for Government Servants upto five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government & for 10 years for Physically Handicapped and the candidates are exempted from application fees.

Havaldar - 1 (One) (on contract basis)

Essential: A. Educational & Experience: (i) Matriculate or its equivalent from a recognized Board/Institution, with 5 years experience in handling labour, their deployment, Roll call, maintenance of various registers, returns, duty roster, muster roll as it is a supervisory post. He should have experience/knowledge of upkeep of mortuary.
Preference will be given to Ex-servicemen with the above qualifications and also those who have undergone Sanitary Inspector’s Course in addition to above qualifications.

Microbiologist – One (on contract basis) for FIND Project

Essential: A. Educational: (i) MD in Microbiology and 3 years experience in reputed laboratory. Persons with experience in Mycobacteriology will be preferred. If MD (Microbiology) candidate will not be available in that case M.Sc. with Ph.D in Microbiology will be considered.

Essential: A. Educational: (i) MBBS of a recognized University and must have completed the required period of Pre-registration Internship/Rotating Housemanship in a recognized Hospital/Institute.
Age: upto 30 years.

Age is relaxable by five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates as per Govt. of India instructions.
Note 1. Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the selection committee in the case of candidate otherwise well qualified.
General Instructions:
(i) Crucial date for determining age limit will be the 1st July 2010. (ii) The appointment will be governed by the standard terms and conditions as per the Institute rules applicable from time to time. (iii) LRS Institute reserves the right to fix criteria for calling the required number of candidates, as may be necessary, for interview. (iv)The prescribed essential qualifications as above are bare minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. v) LRS Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill the posts mentioned above without assigning any reason(s). (vi) No. of posts can be increased or decreased by the Competent Authority (vii) Incomplete applications not on the prescribed proforma will be summarily rejected.(viii) No TA/DA for interview will be admissible. However, SC/ST/PH candidates (for posts at S.No. 1 to 4) will be allowed single II class fare by shortest route. (ix). The candidate already in Govt. Service should send his/her application through proper channel.
