Educational Qualifications : (a) Mech./BE/B.Tech. with 60% marks in Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Electrical and Instrumentaion/ Electrical Engineering/ Computer Sc. & Engineering/ IT/ Mechanical Engineering OR A degree with 50% marks or equivalent in any of the following M.Sc. (Physics) (wih Maths in Maths in B.Sc.), M.Sc. Maths (with Physics in B.Sc.), M.Sc. (OR/ Analysis), M.Tech/ M.Sc. (Meterology/ Oceanography). Those who are in the final years, need not apply.

Physical Standards : Height and Weight : Minimum height Male - 157 cms with correlated weight. Eye Sight - The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/60, 6/60 connectable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses and should not be colour/night blind.

SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.

2. Published work, such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books, and / or technical reports;

Management Studies

i. Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master's Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant discipline or consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / recognized by the AICTE / UGC;
OR
First Class graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant / Cost and works Accountant / Company Secretary of the concerned statutory body.
ii. Ph. D. or Fellow of Indian Institute of Management or of an Institute recognized by AICTE and declared equivalent by the AIU.
iii. A minimum of ten years' experience of teaching / industry / research / professional out of which five years must be at the level of Reader or equivalent excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree.
OR
iv. In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:
1. Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master's Degree in Business Management / Administration / in a relevant management related discipline or consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in two years full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / recognized by the AICTE / UGC.

2. The candidate should have professional work experience which is significant and can be recognized at national / International level as equivalent to Ph. D. and twelve years' managerial experience in industry / profession of which at least eight years should be at least at a level comparable to that of Reader/Assistant Professor.
v. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered
desirable:
i) Teaching, Teaching, research, and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;
ii) Published work, such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books and / or technical reports;
iii) Experience of guiding the project work / dissertation of PG /
Research Students or supervising R&D projects in industry;
iv) Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic,
research, industrial and / or professional activities; and
v) Capacity to undertake / lead sponsored R&D consultancy and
related activities.

Relaxation clause.
1. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master's level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
2.  A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.
3.  Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible.

A. GENERAL INFORMATION
1. The Ph.D. Degree shall be a mandatory qualification for the appointment of Professors.
2.  The Ph.D. Degree shall be a mandatory qualification for all candidates for appointment of Associate Professor.
3. The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. Degree shall not be considered as teaching/ research experience to be claimed for appointment to the
teaching positions.

  1. Separate application should be submitted for each post.
  2. University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage.
  3. Application incomplete in any respect will not receive any consideration at all.
  4. Experience and qualification will be reckoned as on last date of submission of application. Clear quality photocopies of all important certificates must be attached with the application.
  5. Candidates already in service should submit their application through proper channel failing which the application is liable to rejected.
  6. Outstation candidates belonging to SC/ST categories called for interview will be paid contribution equivalent to return single second class railway fare towards journey expensed on production of ticket numbers/proof.
  7.  The Number of vacancies indicated in the Employment Notification and this leaflet is tentative. The University reserve the right to increase/decrease the number of posts, at the time of selection.

11.  Reservation for SC/STs, OBC and PH for all posts exists as per the guidelines of the   UGC GOI.  Candidates applying for the reserved posts should clearly state to which category they belong. They must also enclose attested Photostat copy of Caste Certificate/ Medical Certificate from the concerned competent authorities. The form of caste certificate to be produced by other backward class candidates must be in the format as prescribed by the Govt. of India. Please visit www.ncbc.nic.in for details. Otherwise, the application will be summarily rejected without further consideration.
12. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for interview.
13. The statutory provision for relaxing of age, experience etc. prescribed in case of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories will be made applicable to them.
14. Canvassing in any form on behalf of any candidate will disqualify such candidate.
15. Selection will be made on the basis of candidates' previous records and their performances in the interview. The University may utilize seminar or colloquium as a method of selection.
16. University reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies advertised, if the circumstances so warrant.
17. New pension scheme in accordance with the O.M.No.1 (13) EV/2001, Govt. of India, Ministry of  Finance, Department of Expenditure, dated 15.03.2004, will be applicable with subsequent amendments made or will be made from time to time.
18.  In case of any disputes/suites or legal proceedings against the University, the Jurisdiction shall be restricted to the Courts of Ranchi.
19. Candidates who have already applied in response to our earlier advertisement in the year 2009 need not apply again but they can update their biodata so that API can be calculated accordingly if they desire so.
