NO.NeGD/25/2010 Dated: 21.06.2010
Subject: Filling up of various positions in SeMT(State e- Governance Mission Team) in 35 States and
Union Territories.
NeGD has been set up by the Department of Information Technology (DIT), Government of India as an
Independent Business Division (IBD) within Media Lab Asia, a Section 25 company of Department of
Information Technology, Government of India. NeGD has been set up with the objective of supporting
DIT in Programme Management of the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), Capacity Building under
NeGP, Strategic Planning, developing standards and including guidelines on technological matters. A
brief write up of SeMTs under NeGD- Media Lab Asia is enclosed as Annexure I.
The NeGD is in the process of filling up various posts on deputation basis in SeMTs in all 35 States and
Union Territories of India from amongst the officers in Central Government/ State Government/PSUs /
Autonomous bodies. State-wise vacancies position is enclosed at Annexure-IV. The candidates while
applying for the vacancies in SeMTs have to give a minimum preference of three States. The initial
period of deputation shall be for two years extendable by a further period of two years subject to
conditions as per NeGD policy. The deputation shall be under Foreign Service terms and conditions.
The grade pay is expected to be as per Annexure II. The pay fixation will be done as per the prescribed
Government guidelines. Other benefits shall be as per NeGD norms for deputations.
It is requested that the applications of eligible candidates who can be spared immediately in the event of
their selection may be forwarded to NeGD in the performa as per Annexure III. The applications along
with NOC of the competent authority, should reach the NeGD-Media Lab Asia office at the address
given below not later than 21 days from the date of issue of advertisement. The vacancy circular along
with the Annexure can be seen at the DIT website www.mit.gov.in. (However, advance copies of
applications may be sent by e-mail to cbmc@negp.gov.in).
Those who are working in Central Government/State Government/PSU should apply through proper
channel on deputation. However, advance copy may be forwarded to NeGD, Media Lab Asia.
