Eligibility:
For Post at S. No. 1 to 15 MBBS with PG Degree/ Diploma in the concerned speciality from recognized University and should be registered with MCI/ DMC.
For Post at S. No. 16 (Senior Resident Casualty) the person should be having MBBS Degree and Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in any field. The other conditions will be same as other posts as under.
Pav Scale:
The candidates will be paid Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade pay Rs.6600/· Allowances as admissible will be paid.
Age Limit:
Not exceeding 33 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC candidates) as on date of interview.
Reservation:
Reservation will be provided in the above posts strictly in accordance with prescribed norms/rules.
Conditions of Recruitment:
1. Eligible candidates will present themselves for registration at 9.3.0 A.M. on the date specified for the Interview of the particular speciality alongwith all relevant documents in original together with attested copies of all documents in support of their candidature for the post, two passport size photographs and complete Bio-Data duly filled. No application of candidate will be received after 11:00 AM. Only twenty candidates will be interviewed in one day. In case number of candidates who turn up for interview is more than twenty, interview may be held on the subsequent day(s) as per date and time to be announced at the time of registration which will be done only on the date advertised for interview for that particular speciality.
2. Application forms should be accompanied with non-refundable Demand Draft/ Indian Postal Order of Rs.500/- for unreserved and OBC candidates & Rs.300/- for SC & ST candidates payable to PAU, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi-110001 at New Delhi, purchased after the date of advertisement.
3. Crucial date for determination of eligibility with reference to age, qualification and experience etc. will be date of registration of the candidate for appearing at the interview.
4. Candidates must be registered with DMC/ MCI before joining the post. If selected.
5. The tenure of Senior Resident is for 03 (three) years including any service rendered as Senior Resident earlier on ad-hoc/ regular basis in any institution. The appointment will be initially for the period of one year, which could be extended for a period of three years on an annual basis, subject to the satisfactory work and conduct report from the concerned HOD.
6. Other service conditions will be applicable as per service conditions prescribed from time to time by the Government of India.
7. The candidate who is already in Govt. Service should submit No Objection Certificate at the time of Interview.
8. Inter-hospital/ inter-institutional transfer shall not be permitted.
9. The candidate must bring following original certificates with attested copies at the time of registration:
a. Certificate in support of age (10th certificate).
b. Certificate in support of educational qualifications (MBBS & MD/ MS).
c. Medical registration with MCI and DMC, State Med Council.
d. MBBS Passing Certificate and Mark Sheets.
e. Internship completion certificate.
f. Caste certificate in the prescribed format of Govt. of India.
g. Proof of Research Paper/Award won if any.
10. The candidate must bring the filled application form placed in Annexure-I and also paste a photograph on it.

1. Applications are invited from unmarried Male and Female Candidates for Short Service Commission Officers in the Education Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing Jan 2011 at Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala. Kerala, Candidates to fulfill condition of nationality as laid down by the Government of India.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
2. Age: 21 to 25 years (candidate born between 02 Jan 1986 and 01 Jan 1990 both dates inclusive).
3. Educational Qualification
A Master's Degree in any of the following with minimum 50% marks
Physics (with Maths in B.Sc.), Maths with Physics in B.Sc.), Chemistry (with physics or Maths in B.Sc.), English and History.
Note: Candidates who have not completed their Degree (i.e. appearing candidates) need not apply.
4. PHYSICAL STANDARDS
(a) Height and Weight: Minimum height Male-157 cms. Femlile-152 cms with correlated weight.
(b) Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/60, 6/60 correctable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses. Should not be colour/ night blind.
SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION
5. Short Service Commission is granted for a period or 10 years, extendable to 14 years subject to service requirement and performance/ willingness of the candidate. On completion of these tenures, officers are entitled for gratuity under the extant rules Disciplined life, leadership qualities and professional skills imbibed during the service would stand as an added advantage in acquiring second career, post exit from the Navy.

7. (a) The candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) Interviews based on their performance in BE/ B. Tech & Master's Degree Courses No communication will be entertained on this account. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with higher percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) [IHQ-MoD (Navy)] reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage. (b) SSB Interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled during Jan-Nov 2010 at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore.
(c) The total duration of SSB interviews is of 5 days consisting Stage I (Day one) and Stage II (Four days) Stage I Tests consist of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests (PDPT). Candidates who fall to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day from SSB centre. Stage II Tests consist of Psychological Tests, Group Task Tests, Group discussion and Interview. Recommended candidates will there after undergo Medical Examination at nearest military hospital for duration of 05 days.
(d) Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training in order of All India Merit depending on the number or vacancies. The confirmation in the service is subject to satisfactory Police Verification Report and Character & Antecedent Certificate.
(e) Change of SSB centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstances.
(f) Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates be addressed to the President of the SSB on receipt of call up letter and copy endorsed to Directorate of Manpower Planning & Recruitment (OI & R), Room No. 204, 'C' Wing, Sena Bhawan, IHQ-MOD (N), New Delhi-l10011 (Fax No. 011-23011282). Allocation of fresh dates will be subject to availability of batches for the entry.
(g) No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests.
(h ) Return 2nd Class Sleeper rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for the entry
TRAINING
8. Candidates will be inducted as officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant and undergo Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala Kerala, scheduled to commence in Jan 2011, This training will be followed by professional training Full pay and allowances are admissible to the officers whilst undergoing training. They will be on probation for a period of two years from the dale of reporting to the Indian Naval Academy or the date of commencement of training whichever is later, during which they are liable to be discharged if their performance is unsatisfactory.
9. Any candidate who is found to be married or marries while undergoing training will be discharged. He/ she shall be liable to refund full pay & allowances drawn by him/ her and any other expenditure incurred on him/ her by the Government.

15 Leave Entitlements. Officers are entitled to (subject to service exigencies) 60 days annual and 20 days casual leave every year. Free travel for self and dependents as per extant rules by air/ rail as per rank. In addition, 40% concession for travel to any place at any time for self and family.
16 Adventure & sports. The Navy provides facilities to pursue any sport of your liking. In addition, one can learn and participate in adventure sports such as river rafting, mountaineering, hot air ballooning, hang gliding, wind surfing etc.
17. Physical fitness. In Naval Academy curriculum, a lot of emphasis is laid on physical fitness. You are therefore, advised to prepare yourself for physical training sports, running, swimming, etc. so that you meet the training goals successfully
