Professor & Head, Experimental Medicine M.D./Ph.D in the relevant field. The incumbent would be required to evolve and lead a group of investigators that will address questions in diverse areas of biomedical research relevant to cancer. It is expected that the new department will foster collaboration between clinicians and basic scientists in areas relevant to the practice of oncology. -
Professor & Head, Haemato-Oncology Research Laboratory D.M./M.D./Ph.D. in the relevant field. The incumbent would be required to evolve and lead a group of investigators that will address questions in all areas of Heamato-Oncology and foster collaboration between clinicians and basic scientists. In addition, the incumbent will head the expanded laboratory and will be expected to undertake basic and translational research and provide support services for Haemato-Oncology patients. -
Professor/Assistant Professor, Gynaecology M.Ch.(Gynaecology) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by MCI or M.D.(Gynaecology) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by MCI with minimum 3 years experience after post graduation. Minimum one year experience in Gynaec Oncology. Candidates with 10 years post M.D. experience in Gynaec Oncology in an established set up will be considered Professor grade. -
Assistant Professor, Plastic Surgery M.Ch. (Plastic Surgery) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by MCI. Experience in Onco-reconstruction/Microvascular Surgery is desirable. -
Assistant Professor, Radiation Oncology M.D. (Radiation Oncology/Radiotherapy) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by Medical Council of India with minimum 3 years Post M.D. experience in a MCI recognized teaching hospital or cancer centre. Adequate experience in Brachytherapy techniques, advanced 3D conformal treatment planning techniques and IMRT are desirable for this position. -
Assistant Professor, Radiology M.D. or equivalent postgraduate degree in Radiology/Radio-diagnosis recognized by MCI with 3 years post M.D. experience as Senior Resident in the relevant field. -
Assistant Professor, General Medicine M.D.(General Medicine) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by MCI with 3 years post M.D. experience in the speciality or its allied sub-specialities in a large teaching hospital. GENERAL CONDITIONS Officers will be appointed as Scientific Officer (Medical) in the appropriate Scientific Grade and given an Academic Designation as per the Medical Council of India norms. In addition to pay, other allowances including NPA(for medical category), DA, HRA, TA, etc will be admissible as per the prevailing rules of TMC. All officers will be eligible for institutional financial support for active participation in National and International Medical Meetings, Workshops and Conferences after their probation is closed. Medical Officers are eligible for sharing the Private Practice Revenue in lieu of the NPA as per the existing rules of TMC. All officers will be covered by a Contributory Health Service Scheme for self and dependants. Residential accommodation will be provided subject to availability. All are eligible for retirement benefits and pension under the new pension scheme. Candidates may be offered a salary grade in a higher or lower grade than what is advertised based on their teaching experience, research track record and overall assessment at the time of interview and recommendation of the Selection Committee. Departmental candidates who are presently in a grade lower than what is advertised may apply for promotion to the higher grade apart from the existing merit promotion scheme. Only exceptionally qualified candidates with proven merit/track record would be eligible for fast track review promotion. Candidates appointed will be rotated based on the needs of the concerned TMC Departments at the Tata Memorial Hospital (Parel campus) or ACTREC (Kharghar campus) as and when necessary. The TMC also may exercise the option to offer appointments on “Contract Basis” for a fixed term on a consolidated remuneration. Video Conferencing/Telephonic Interview can be arranged for the candidates presently working abroad subject to availability of the facility if desired.
