Administrative Staff College of India "Director of EDP"

The Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, will be launching a one-year Executive Development Programme (EDP) from the year 2011-12. Discussions are in progress with reputed foreign universities for a joint/dual degree/diploma. To spearhead and steer these initiatives, ASCI is on the look out for a dynamic and result-oriented management professional as Director of EDP. Ideally, the potential candidate should possess the following:

A good post-graduate or doctoral degree in management or a related discipline from a reputed institution in India or abroad. A good record of working in industry or management training institutions or business schools. A good record of peer-reviewed published work. Hands-on experience of faculty-recruitment, student selections and placements, and, programme management. Sound understanding of Indian and foreign (e.g. the USA, Europe or East Asia) academic institutional frameworks and management scenarios. Good communication and coordination skills. Proven leadership abilities.

The selected candidate would ideally be in the age group of 40 to 50 years. The appointment will be initially for a period of 5 years, renewable for further terms. The remuneration and benefits would compare favorably with those enjoyed by a Professor at IIMs, with flexibility for negotiations in deserving cases. He/she will report to the Director General of ASCI.
