All India Institute of Speech and Hearing was established in the year 1965 as an autonomous institute fully funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The major objectives of the institute are to impart professional training, render clinical services, conduct research and educate the public on issues related to communication disorders such as hearing impairment, mental retardation, voice, fluency and phonological and language disorders.

No:   05/2010 Job Brief: Posts on contract basis Director invites applications for the following posts on contract basis, from the talented citizens of India, who are committed to noble profession of teaching, to train manpower in the area of Speech, Language and Hearing and to render service to the Institute to achieve its mission of reaching out to the Nation. Online application may be submitted from the website. The blank application forms may also be obtained from The Director, AIISH, Mysore on payment of the prescribed non-refundable application fee of `400/- for General/OBC category, `100/- for SC/ST/PH category and in person or by post enclosing by way of DD favouring Director, AIISH, Mysore payable at Mysore along with self-addressed stamped envelope for `25.00 on or before 08.11.2010. Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
