Krishi Proyukti Sahayak Recruitment Examination by West Bengal Public Service Commission 2010

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from Indian citizens or such other nationalities as are declared eligible by the Govt. of India in accordance with the rules regulating the recruitment to the posts of Krishi Proyukti Sahayak under the Department of Agriculture, in the District offices under the Govt. of West Bengal. The Public Service Commission, West Bengal will hold the Examination in the month of May, 2011 or thereabout simultaneously in Kolkata and other District Centres over the State.

The examination will consist of one paper being sub-divided in two parts, viz. Part–I(Objective type) and Part–II(Conventional type).

Pay: (PB-2) Rs.5,400-25,200/- + Grade Pay of Rs.2,900/-

Gross emoluments at the entry level: Rs.9,600/- besides D.A., M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.

Qualification: Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from any recognized Board /Council. Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (Not required for recruitment in the case of Nepali speaking candidates from the Hill areas of District of Darjeeling).

Age: Not less than 18 years and not more than 37 years on 01.01.2010 (i.e. born not earlier than the 2nd January, 1973 and not later than the 1st January, 1992). Upper age limit is relaxable for certain categories of candidates.

The Indian Navy-SSC Officer Jobs

Recruitment of SSC Officers in Technical branches in The Indian Navy October 2010

Applications are invited from unmarried candidates who fulfill eligibility condition of nationality as laid down by the Government of India for grant of Short Service Commission(SSC) in Technical(Engineering)(E) & Electrical(L) Branches of the Indian Navy for course commencing July 2011

Eligibility Conditions:
Age: Age & Block dates for the different entries of Technical Branches as as follows:
Technical(General Service) Branch (’E’ &’L'): 19 1/2 to 25 years
Submarine Cadre(’E’ &’L'): 19 1/2 to 25 years
Naval Architecture Cadre: 21 to 15 years

Qualification: Four years BE/B.Tech Engineering Degree qualified with minimum 605 marks in aggregate from a recognized university with the desired streams

Physical Standards: The candidates should not be colour/night blind and must be physically fit according to following physical standards:
Height and Weight: Minimum height 157 cms for men and 152 cms for women with correlated weight.
Eye Sight: 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses for Tech (GS) Branch & Submarine cadre and 6/60, 6/60 correctable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses for the Naval Architecture Cadre.

Short Service Commission:
Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirement and performance/willingness of the candidate. On completion of these tenures, officers are entitled for gratuity under the extant rules. Disciplined life, leadership qualities and professional skills imbibed during the service would stand as added advantages in acquiring second career post exit from the navy.
