Project Associates

Indian Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project

The National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) New Delhi is implementing capacity building component C of India Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project assisted by the World Bank.

Post:    Project Associate ( Damage , loss and need Assessment) - One

Eligibility Conditions

a)      The applicant must be a post-graduate in economics/ statistics/ Finance related field  with sound knowledge of the principles and practices of disaster risk management;

Experience;

b)      The applicant must have experiences of conducting 2-3 Damage and loss assessment

c)      Preference would be given to the professional who has experience in Disaster Management and has done economic and statistical modeling.

Age ; Below 45 years

Terms of Appointment

The appointment shall be made on a purely contractual basis for a period of one year,  

The appointment can be terminated on notice of one month from either side.

Terms of Reference for Damage loss and need Assessment

·        Collect and compile various primary and recovery material needed to the study.

·        Examine the Expression of Interest, Project etc. submitted for the study.

·        Assist the Project Management Team in supervising and managing the day-to-day functioning of the Project.

·        Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports and reviews:

·        Organize meetings under the project.

·        Build and maintain relationship with a rage of key stakeholders.

·        Provide consultant logistic and the support to conduct survey to assess the capacity needs of the area specified.

Remuneration

A monthly remuneration of Rs, 40,000 (Inclusive of all allowances) shall be paid for the job.

Post:    Project Associate ( Training and Capacity Development) - One

Eligibility Conditions

a)      Master/ Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Development or in Social Science/ Disaster Management and related field.

Experience;

·        Experience in quantitative analysis in the social sector projects.

·        Experience in Training design, module development, HR and capacity development.

Age ; Below 45 years
