LADY SHRI RAM COLLEGE FOR WOMEN LAJPAT NAGAR IV, NEW DELHI – 110024 TEL: 91-11-2643 4459 FAX: 91-11-2621 6951   POSITION ASSISTANT PROFESSORS   Applications are invited for the following permanent/Temporary posts of Assistant Professors in the Pay Band Rs.15600–39100 with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.6000 plus usual allowances admissible under Delhi University rules. Sd/xxxxxxxx PRINCIPAL Date: 02 August 2010 Back to Top QUALIFICATIONS FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSORS Good academic record with at least 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST  or those who passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991 and hold a Ph.D. Degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C. D. E & F at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.. Candidates should have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturers/Assistant Professors conducted by the U.G.C./CSIR or similar test accredited by the U.G.C. Notes: -      NET / SLET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Lecturers/ Assistant Professors in Universities / Colleges/ Institutions.   Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standard and procedure for award of Ph.D Degree), Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET / SLET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges/ Institutions.” The Selection Committee/Governing Body reserve the right to change the nature and number of posts.
