National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) - Pointer Advertisement

The National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) has been established as an autonomous institution by the Government of India, under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology. The institute is the first of its kind in the country that is devoted to research in genomics of health and diseases.

It is located in Kalyani, West Bengal, India, about 50 km. from Kolkata. Connected to Kolkata by highways, expressways and railways, it takes about one and one-half hours to reach Kalyani from Kolkata.

The Institute is currently functioning from an interim facility of about 120,000 sq. ft. of floor space, constructed on the 2 nd floor of a local hospital. Laboratories, equipment (including flow-cell sequencers, whole-genome genotyping and gene expression platforms, array-CGH platforms, high-end computing platforms, etc.), bio-banking facility, office space and class rooms have been established.

The permanent campus of the Institute is being constructed on a 30-acre plot of land, with academic blocks, student and faculty housing, guest houses, conference centre and other facilities .

National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research - For Post of Director

  The National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (NIRTAR) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. It is located in a beautiful rural area at Olatpur at a distance of 30 Kms. from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

  It conducts three  Bachelor Degree courses in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Prosthetics and Orthotics, two Postgraduate courses in Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy affiliated to Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. It also has an accreditation for DNB in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of National Board of Examination (NBE), New Delhi. It also conducts short orientation courses, Continuing Medical Education courses for rehabilitation professionals, awareness programmes for the functionaries of Govt. and Non-Govt., Persons with disabilities and their relatives etc.

   It has a hospital, wards with 100 beds, operation theatres, x-ray and pathological investigations, physio-occupational therapy services, clinical psychology and vocational counselling, speech and audiology, fabrication of rehabilitation of aids and appliances. It provides total medical rehabilitation for the persons with locomotor disabilities.

   It has a subcentre at Dhenkanal, established ten District Disability Rehabilitation Centres (DDRCs) in Bihar, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and Composite Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) at Guwahati and served as a facilitator in establishing Regional Spinal Injury Centre at Cuttack.

     It conducts rehabilitation camps in a rural, remote and interior areas of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chattisgarch, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and North-Eastern States to provide rehabilitation services (fabrication and fitment, distribution of rehabilitation aids and appliances, surgical camps) to the door steps of the persons with disabilities who can not go to bigger cities.

    It has a good library, information and documentation service facility to disseminate information in the fields of disability, rehabilitation and related areas.

    Provides consultancy services to  Govt. and Non-Govt.Organisation in setting/providing rehabilitation services.
